Bremner wields her brush with both loose intuition and delicate intention. She renders bushy billows of treetops in thick, knobbly strokes, but intricately flecked with the tiny blades of leaves or layered with wispy fronds. These precise patterns meet languid drips and erratic splashes that melt down each canvas where trunks or stems might otherwise be found. Her color palette, meanwhile, varies from one piece to the next, seeming to capture the moods of different hours and seasons despite the often surreal and even technicolor tones.

Artist Statement

My artwork reflects my admiration for the natural world. I take great pride in bringing its beauty and complexity to life through my paintings. With each stroke of my brush, I try to capture the essence of a landscape and stylize it in a way that is uniquely my own.

I am intentional in my use of colour palettes, seeking to reflect the natural harmony found in the world around us while also exploring more unconventional combinations. My process is intuitive and spontaneous, allowing each painting to develop organically as I build each layer of paint.

Inspired by the impressionists and colourists of the past, I find myself drawn to the beauty of nature and the emotion that I can convey through expressive brushstrokes. My love for painting landscapes is rooted in my fascination with the vibrant colours and textures found in the natural world. Through my art, I strive to capture the essence of these subjects and convey the emotions they evoke within me.

Art has played an enormous role throughout my life, with painting being my true passion. I find myself completely immersed in each painting, giving my all to every brushstroke. By creating art that is both reflective of my surroundings and an escape into an imaginary world, I aim to inspire others to recognize and appreciate the beauty of nature.
